Ducks to Host Street Hockey Tournament for Local Fourth-Grade Students on Saturday

Each school participating in Saturday’s tournament is a member of the S.C.O.R.E. program, consisting of more than 30,000 local students representing 300 schools. As part of S.C.O.R.E.’s in-school physical education curriculum, 45 schools and 4,500 4th grade children currently play street hockey. The program is funded by the Anaheim Ducks Foundation, which provides a full donation of street hockey equipment, training for physical education instructors and a 10-day curriculum. The Ducks launched the S.C.O.R.E. program in 2005, aimed at in-class and physical education through free educational standards-based programs and incentives for all participating schools.

Saturday’s tournament is free to attend and will include concessions, music and prizes.
