The Ducks have signed goaltender John Gibson to a three-year contract extension through the 2018-19 season. Per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Gibson, 22 (7/14/93), appeared in his second NHL season with Anaheim in 2014-15, going 13-8-0 with one shutout, a 2.60 goals-against average (GAA) and .914 save percentage (SV%). He established career highs in wins, saves (616), appearances (23) and starts (21). The Pittsburgh, PA native ranked fourth among NHL rookie goaltenders in wins, saves and shots faced (674). The 6-3, 216 pound netminder won six of seven starts from Feb.
