The Anaheim Ducks announced this morning that they had signed forward Andrew Cogliano to a 3-year contract extension.
The OC Register’s Eric Stephens reported that the deal is worth an average of $3.25 million per season, up from his current $3 million per season. Cogliano was set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season.
The 30-year-old left winger has established himself as as a good possession forward and one of the game’s best penalty killers. He is currently part of the Ducks vaunted “shutdown” line with Jakob Silfverberg and Ryan Kesler.
