Ducks Recall LW Ritchie from San Diego (AHL)

The Ducks have recalled left wing Nick Ritchie from the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Ritchie, 20 (12/5/95), collected 2-2=4 points with 37 penalty minutes (PIM) in 33 games for the Ducks during the regular season. The 6-2, 232-pound winger scored his first career NHL goal in a 7-1 win over the New Jersey Devils on Mar. 14 at Honda Center. Ritchie concluded the season on a two-game scoring streak (1-1=2) from Apr. 9-10, including a goal in Anaheim’s division-clinching 2-0 win on Apr. 10 at Washington.

Selected by Anaheim in the first round (10th overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, Ritchie recorded 16-14=30 points and 59 PIM in 38 games with the Gulls this season.
