Mat Latos is still here. He's still starting, too.
Dodgers Manager Don Mattingly, after acting uncertain of the struggling Latos’ status the last couple of days, said Monday that the right-hander would start Wednesday in Anaheim against the Angels.
Mainly because his debut with the Dodgers against the Angels on Aug. 2 was his only strong effort in five starts.
“He pitched pretty good against these guys in his first outing,” Mattingly said.
Latos gave up just one run on four hits and a walk in his previous start against the Angels. In his next four starts, he’s gone 0-2 with an 8.
