The Anaheim Ducks announced today that Corey Perry had undergone surgery to repair a torn meniscus and MCL injuries in his right knee and will be out for approximately 5 months.
The 33-year-old right winger was scratched during warmups before Monday’s game against the Arizona Coyotes where he aggravated the injury.
Anaheim Calling reported the news that Perry had played most of the 2016-2017 season on a sprained MCL, and The Athletic’s Eric Stephens indicated today that this knee had prior issues, making this development not entirely surprising.
