The Anaheim Ducks will select sixth overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, following the results of the 2020 NHL Draft Lottery on Friday night.
Finishing with the fifth-best odds for the first-overall selection, this means the Ducks have slipped back one spot from where they finished. This is because the first-overall pick belongs to a team that is yet to be determined — one of the eight teams that will be eliminated in the qualifying round of the NHL playoffs will be drawn in a second draft lottery before the first round of playoffs, sometime in early August, if all goes to plan.
