Anaheim Ducks extend qualifying offers to three players

The Anaheim Ducks extended qualifying offers to three players in advance of today’s deadline at 2 p.m. pacific.

Hampus Lindholm, Rickard Rakell and Stefan Noesen were the three to be qualified while a handful of players were not so lucky.

Headlining that list is forward Brandon Pirri. The 25-year-old has scored 49 goals and tallied 80 points in 166 NHL games. Also not qualified were Matt Bailey, Martin Gernat, Kevin Gagne and Charlie Sarault.

All of the players that weren’t qualified are free to sign elsewhere as of July 1st. They can still re-sign with the Ducks before hand but, beyond maybe Pirri, it seems none of those players feature into the Ducks’ plans.
