On September 24th, the Anaheim Ducks were set to face off against the Arizona Coyotes in their fourth preseason game. The projected line up prior to the game was starting to look more like what we could potentially see during the regular season. With Corey Perry in the lineup, everyone was ready to get a good look at the steps he had taken to improve over the summer.
However, tragedy struck when the 33-year-old right wing was injured during pregame warmups. He was pulled from the Monday night lineup. It wasn’t really necessary for him to play in a preseason game, so most people thought he was sidelined for precautionary reasons.
