2016 NHL Draft: Ducks Select Tyler Soy 205th Overall (7th Round)

The center from the WHL's Victoria Royals was born in Richmond, British Columbia.

With the 205th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, the Anaheim Ducks selected Tyler Soy of the Victoria Royals.

Soy went undrafted in 2015 (to the shock of many), but the 6'0, 173 lb skater put himself on the map this season, leading the Royals with 46 goals - and ranking second on the team with 85 points, including 39 assists. He was also voted Most Sportsmanlike Player in the WHL.

Like Dostie, Soy is a smaller, skilled forward.
