PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Four American Athletic Conference Players were honored with Player of the Week accolades for the first week of the 2015 women's soccer season. UConn's Rachel Hill earned the Offensive Player of the Week award, while USF's Cristina Ferral was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week. Saundra Baron of East Carolina has been recognized as the Goalkeeper of the Week, and Temple's goalkeeper Jordan Nash received the Rookie of the Week honor.
Junior forward Hill recorded five points with two goals and one assist in the Huskies' regular season opener against Colgate. Hill scored her first goal in the 28th minute, with her second in the 51st minute.
