IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly volleyball awards for the first week of the 2022 season, ending Sunday, August 28.
Offensive Player of the Week
Sophia Rohling, Jr., OPP, Wichita State
Rohling had an impressive opening weekend for the Shockers, helping Wichita State go 2-1 including the program’s first win over Iowa State. The opposite hit .330 on 106 attacks, while finishing with 3.50 kills per set. She added 15 blocks and 12 digs. Against No. 18 Creighton, Rohling led the Shockers with 14 kills while hitting .
