IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly baseball honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hunter Gibson, Jr., DH, Wichita State
Gibson hit .500 (8-16) with four runs scored, a double, two home runs and eight runs driven in as the Shockers won 3-of-4 at UCF. The junior had multi-hit games in each of the three wins, including a four-hit, two-home run day in Friday’s second game.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Cam Colmore, R-Sr., RHP, East Carolina
Colmore appeared in all three wins for the Pirates as East Carolina won a pivotal series against Tulane and taking over first place in The American’s standings.
