IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s volleyball honors, for the week ending Sunday, Jan. 24.
Offensive Player of the Week
Nicole Anderson * So. * OH * Wichita State
Anderson claimed offensive player of the week honors after Wichita State got off to a red-hot 3-0 start. The sophomore outside hitter ranked in the conference top-10 in points per set (3.95, third), kills per set (3.36, fourth), digs per set (3.36, seventh) and hitting percentage (.284, ninth) over the season’s opening weekend, the only American player to claim such standing.
