IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball awards for the week ending Sunday, April 9.
Player of the Week
Sydney McKinney, Sr., INF, Wichita State
McKinney claims her third Player of the Week honor after slashing .692/.722/1.077 in a 4-0 week for the Shockers that featured a win over No. 2 Oklahoma State. McKinney went 2-for-4 against the Cowgirls, scoring one run and driving in another, while going a combined 7-for-9 with eight RBI and eight runs scored in the series sweep of Memphis.
