IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball awards for the week ending Sunday, February 19.
Player of the Week
Sydney McKinney, Sr., INF, Wichita State
McKinney had an impressive performance at the plate, slashing .765/.789/1.353 across six games for the Shockers. She hit two home runs, including an inside the park home run in the win against San Diego. McKinney record 13 hits and had multiple hits in three of the games, allowing her to score a team-high eight runs.
