Young broke the American’s single-game receiving record with 295 yards on just eight catches including two touchdowns in the Mean Green’s win at Rice. Young, who averaged 36.9 yards per catch, had touchdown catches of 74 and 84 yards. The 295 yards broke the previous conference record of 283, set by C.
