The University of Cincinnati lacrosse team opened its first road game of the year on fire, scoring the first four goals, including two from Monica Borzillo. But, #23 Virginia Tech (2-2) responded to take a 9-7 lead at halftime before using a big run in the second half to hand the Bearcats (2-2) their second loss of the season, 19-8, at a game played inside the Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility in Blacksburg, Va., Wednesday afternoon.
Borzillo scored her third hat trick of the year and in as many games while making it four games in a row this year that she has scored at least two goals and added at least one assist.
