PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball honors, for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 9.
Player of the Week

Samuelson nearly averaged a triple-double in UConn’s 2-0 week with 23 points, 11.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game. At Saint Louis on Dec. 4, the senior scored 20 points on 7-of-13 (53.8 percent) shooting, including five 3-pointers, while snagging six rebounds. She followed with a 26-point, 16-rebound double-double against Seton Hall on Dec. 8.
