PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s first weekly women’s basketball honors, for the week ending Sunday, Dec. 8.
Player of the Week

Walker repeated as the Player of the Week after averaging 27.5 points, nine rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game in UConn’s 2-0 week. Against Seton Hall on Wednesday, she poured in a game and season-high 29 points on 10-of-21 (47.6 percent) shooting, grabbed five boards and dished out three assists as the Huskies won 92-78.
