IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors, for the week ending Sunday, February 27.
Player of the Week
Micaela Macario * Fr. * IF * UCF
Macario batted .462 for UCF in a 4-1 week, ripping three doubles while driving in 10 runs and scoring five times for the Knights. Macario went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a stolen base in a 6-3 victory against Ole Miss on Feb. 25. Macario then reached base in all three plate appearances in an 11-0 run-rule victory over James Madison on Feb.
