IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball awards for the week ending Sunday, April 2.
Player of the Week
Sydney McKinney, Sr., INF, Wichita State
McKinney continued her strong season, slashing .571/.600/.929 to help the Shockers to a 4-0 week. She was responsible for 13 of the runs, scoring nine times and driving in four additional runs. McKinney had multiple hits in three of the four games and scored three runs in three straight games.
