IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors, for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 21.
Player of the Week
Jazmine Esparza * R-Sr. * IF * UCF
Esparza led all American players with six hits and nine RBI during a three-game sweep for No. 24 UCF against New Mexico State. She finished the weekend with a .667 batting average, two home runs, a 1.444 slugging percentage and five runs scored. Esparza reached base in all three appearances in game one (Feb.
