UCF (RV) 7, No. 12/19 Georgia 6 (8)
An incredible back and forth struggle on opening night ultimately went the way of host UCF, as a Shannon Doherty walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the Knights to a 7-6 win over No. 12/19 Georgia during the CFX Classic at the UCF Softball Complex.
UCF raced out to a 5-2 lead after three innings and a 6-4 advantage after four. Georgia tied the game in the top of the fifth frame to tie the game at 6-all.
