PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the second week of the college basketball season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Aubrey Dawkins – UCF – RS-Jr. – G – Durham, N.C.
Dawkins scored 21 points in the championship game of the Myrtle Beach Invitational to help down Western Kentucky, 78-62. For his efforts he was named Tournament MVP as UCF won three games in four days that also included victories over Cal State Fullerton, 68-52, and Saint Joseph’s, 77-57.
