IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball honors, for the week ending Sunday, May 9.
Player of the Week
Kylie Norwood * Jr. * IF * Tulsa
Norwood batted .462 with two home runs, five RBI and a pair of runs for Tulsa in a 2-2 series split at Houston in the season’s final weekend. She reached base in all four games against the Cougars and added a 1.000 slugging percentage and .588 on-base percentage in the series. Norwood opened the series 2-for-4 with a solo home run and added a 3-for-4 showing with a double and an RBI in the nightcap of a doubleheader on May 7.
