PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference earned its third win over a ranked team on Saturday as Tulsa improved 2-0 this week against Big 12 foes with a 47-46 victory over No. 16/15 Kansas State. It was one of five American wins as -/rv Cincinnati won the crosstown shootout against Xavier, 62-47, rv/rv Houston moved to 8-0 with a win over Oklahoma State, 63-53, -/rv UCF downed Grambling, 70-45, and Memphis shot past UAB, 94-76.
