IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly baseball honors.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Collin Burns, So., SS, Tulane
Burns helped lead Tulane into first place in The American standings with a four-game sweep of Memphis by hitting .400 (8-20) with six runs, a double, three home runs and seven runs driven in.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Garrett Schoenle, Sr., LHP, Cincinnati
Schoenle threw eight shutout innings with nine strikeouts in a 6-0 win over Wichita State on Friday, as the Bearcats earned a 3-1 series win.
