TULSA, Okla. — Javin Gordon ran for three touchdowns and Jake Retzlaff added an 8-yard scoring keeper as Tulane beat Tulsa 31–14 on Saturday at H.A. Chapman Stadium in the American Conference opener for the Green Wave.
Gordon scored on runs of 12, 25 and 4 yards, the last capping a 13-play, 69-yard third-quarter drive that made it 31–14. Retzlaff’s TD opened the scoring, and Patrick Durkin added a 28-yard field goal just before halftime.
Tulane (4–1, 1–0) finished with 437 yards — 185 rushing and 252 passing — held the ball for 34:59, and converted 8 of 18 on third down while going 4-for-4 in the red zone.
