Herman's Houston team scored 40 points per game in his first season as a college head coach—one that included an AAC title. The Cougars scored more points on Florida State than anyone else this season in a major Peach Bowl victory.
Herman personally scored a contract extension and raise worth an additional $1.45 million per year with the program.
So it should come as no surprise that Herman scored big again on Tuesday, beating former boss Urban Meyer in the process.
As first reported by Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle, former Texas A&M starting quarterback Kyle Allen is transferring to Houston.
