Three quarterbacks from the American Athletic Conference are listed among the 30 players named to the preseason watch list for the 2020 Davey O'Brien Award, which goes to the top signal-caller nationally.
Two of The American's three representatives were semifinalists for the 2019 Davey O'Brien Award - Shane Buechele of SMU and Brady White of Memphis. They are joined on this year's list by UCF sophomore Dillon Gabriel.
Buechele was named to the American Athletic Conference first team last season after he led the league in passing average (302.2 ypg) and touchdown passes (34). White led The American with 4,014 passing yards and a 64.
