Eight American Athletic Conference players have been named to the preseason watch list for the 2020 Biletnikoff Award, which is presented annually to college football's top receiver.
Seven of The American's 11 teams had at least one player on the watch list. SMU had two players named as wideout Reggie Roberson Jr. and tight end Kylen Granson were selected.
The list includes Houston's Marquez Stevenson, who earned all-conference first team honors last season, as well as Memphis' Damonte Coxie and Temple's Jadan Blue, who were both second-team selections. UCF's Tre Nixon and East Carolina's C.J. Johnson were honorable mention all-conference picks in 2019 and were named to the watch list, as was Tulsa's Keylon Stokes, who joins Blue and Coxie among the league's returning 1,000-yard receivers from last year.
