IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the week ending Sunday, December 18.

Aleah Nelson, Sr., G, Temple
Nelson had a career night in the Owls’ win over Duquesne, scoring 33 points, including her 1,000th career point. The 33 points is the most by any Owl since 2019 and is the second highest in The American this season. Nelson made seven three-pointers in the game, tied for the most in The American this season.
