IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly women’s basketball awards for the week ending Sunday, December 25.
Player of the Week
Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu, R-Sr., F, South Florida
Fankam Mendjiadeu put forth two impressive performances against two Top 20 opponents at the San Diego Invitational. She averaged 25 points and 14.5 rebounds in games against #3/4 Ohio State and #17/19 Arkansas. She tied her career-high with 34 points against the Buckeyes before coming away with a double-double (16 pts, 12 rebs) in the overtime win against Arkansas.
