South Florida Walks Off With 18-16 Win At No. 13 Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Nico Gramatica drilled a 20-yard field goal as time expired, and South Florida stunned No. 13 Florida 18-16 on Saturday night at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium — giving the Bulls back-to-back wins over Top 25 opponents for the first time since 2007.

Quarterback Byrum Brown threw for 263 yards and a 66-yard touchdown to Keshawn Singleton late in the third quarter, and the Bulls (2-0) added a safety on the ensuing drive to build a 15-9 lead. Florida regained the advantage on DJ Lagway’s 4-yard touchdown pass to Eugene Wilson III early in the fourth, but Brown guided an 87-yard drive in the final minutes to set up Gramatica’s game-winner.
