PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the 10th week of the college football season.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ben Hicks • SMU • Jr. • QB • Waco, Texas
Hicks threw four touchdown passes and finished with 318 passing yards and no interceptions on 43 attempts to lead SMU to a 45-31 win against No. 17 Houston, bringing the Mustangs within a game of the Cougars in The American’s West Division race. Hicks threw TD passes of 7, 17, 1 and 59 yards and finished with more than 300 passing yards for a school-record 10th time in his career.
