PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s soccer honors for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 28.
Offensive Player of the Week
Lukas Fernandes * Jr. * M * Temple
Fernandes buried his sixth goal of the season in the 27th minute on Saturday, giving Temple enough offense for a 1-0 win over Tulsa. The victory sealed a berth to the American Athletic Conference Championship for the Owls and capped a 1-0-1 week for Temple. Fernandes leads the Owls’ scoring attack this season with six goals and four assists for 16 points and is now a two-time Offensive Player of the Week selection.
