CLEARWATER, Florida – Second-seeded UCF batted around in the first inning and never looked back, going on to defeat No. 7 Memphis, 15-2, in seven innings in an elimination game at the 2022 TicketSmarter American Athletic Conference Baseball Championship Friday evening at BayCare Ballpark.
With the win, UCF (34-24) advances to play Houston on Saturday, May 28 at approximately 12:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN+. The Knights would have to defeat the Cougars twice on Saturday to move on to the Championship on Sunday, May 29. The Tigers finish the season with a record of 27-28.
