Navy's Marshall Named National Defensive Player of the Week

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy senior striker John Marshall has been named the Walter Camp National FBS Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Navy's 17-14 victory over No. 17 UCF.

Marshall recorded 10 tackles, a school record 4 sacks, a school record tying 4 tackles for a loss and forced a fumble that set up the game-winning field goal. Marshall is the third Navy player to win the award since 2004 joining Shun White (2008) and Malcolm Perry (2017) as honorees.
