With wins on Sunday, Memphis and USF both clinched byes for the American Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship. In addition, Cincinnati and UCF both clinched home matches in the first round of the tournament.
Memphis 2, SMU 1
Memphis stayed unbeaten in conference play, earning a 2-1 win over SMU. The Tigers improved to 15-1-1 on the season and 7-0-1 in American play. The Mustangs remain in a tie for fifth in the conference standings on nine points at 3-5-0 (10-6-1 overall).
After an own goal by the SMU defense opened the scoring in the 16th minute, Jewel Boland came right back for the Mustangs and tied the game just over a minute later.
