BOCA RATON, Fla. — Greg Desrosiers Jr. ran for 204 yards and three touchdowns, Brendon Lewis accounted for four scores, and Memphis pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Florida Atlantic 55-26 on Saturday night.
The Tigers (5-0, 1-0 American) notched their ninth consecutive victory, the longest active winning streak in the FBS. Memphis also scored at least 20 points for the 45th straight game, extending the nation’s longest current streak in that category .
Lewis set the tone early with an 18-yard touchdown run on Memphis’ opening drive, then added another rushing score late to cap the victory.
