Memphis' Henigan, South Florida's Battie Named to FWAA Freshman All-America Team

IRVING, Texas - Memphis quarterback Seth Henigan and South Florida running back Brian Battie were chosen Monday to the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America Team.

Henigan is the sixth Memphis playerto be named an FWAA All-America selection, joining Tom Hornsey (2010), Tony Pollard (2016), T.J. Carter (2017), Kenneth Gainwell (2019) and Tahj Washington (2020).

Battie is the thrid South Florida player to earn Freshman All-America status, joining George Selvie (2006) and Terrence Mitchell (2010).

Henigan threw for 3,322 yards, leading all freshmen nationally, in his first year with the Tigers. He started 11 games and completed 235 of 393 passes for 3,322 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
