Lou Groza, Ray Guy Watch Lists Feature American Athletic Conference Players

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Three American Athletic Conference kickers and three of the league’s punters have been named to the watch lists for the top national honors in their specialties.

Cincinnati’s Andrew Gantz, UConn’s Bobby Puyol and Memphis’ Jake Elliott were named to the watch list for the Lou Groza Collegiate Placekicker Award. UConn’s Justin Wain, East Carolina’s Worth Gregory and Tulsa’s Dalton Parks were chosen to the watch list for the Ray Guy Award as the nation’s top punter.

Gantz is a two-time all-conference selection and a two-time semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award. Gantz scored 112 points last season, making 21 of 27 field goals and going 49-of-50 on PATs.
