IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly softball awards for the week ending Sunday, March 26.
Player of the Week
Zoe Jones, Sr., INF, Wichita State
Jones was instrumental in the Shockers opening series win over UCF in Orlando. The senior infielder slashed .462/.533/1.000 and drove in seven runs, while scoring another six times. She had at least one hit in every game against UCF and was responsible for seven runs scored in the Shockers 10-5 win to secure the series victory on Sunday.
