Head coach Tom Herman's Houston Cougars are off to another strong start after taking the college football world by storm a season ago, opening the season with an upset victory over Oklahoma.
Now, they'll have another difficult test when they travel to Cincinnati's Nippert Stadium to take on a well-coached Bearcats team that is also 2-0 in a pivotal American Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
Thankfully for No. 6-ranked Houston, it should have star quarterback Greg Ward Jr. back after he missed last week's game against Lamar.
Ward suffered an injury to his throwing shoulder in the season-opening 33-23 win over the Sooners, but he was cleared to return this week, according to the Houston Chronicle's Joseph Duarte, and he's not expecting any limitations.
