Houston and USF each advanced to the NCAA Men's Golf Championships for the second consecutive season after carding top-five finishes in Regional action. The Cougars tied for third at the NCAA Franklin Regional while USF carded a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Albuquerque Regional.
A day after tying the program's team low-round record at 274, Houston shot the Regional's second-lowest round of the day during final round action on Wednesday at 16-under-par 272. The Cougars finished with a three-day score of 25-under-par 839 on the 7,190-yard, par-72 course.
Houston sophomore Michael Perras captured the individual championship at the Franklin Regional with a score of 16-under-par 200.
