IRVING, Texas -- Houston has been tabbed No. 1 in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Houston (6-0) received 45 first-place votes in the AP Top 25 and 23 in the Coaches Poll. Texas is ranked No. 2 in both polls.
It is the first time an American Athletic Conference men's basketball team has been ranked No. 1 in the AP Top 25 and it is the first time a team from The American has been in the top spot in coaches poll during the regular season.
