TULSA, Okla. – Freshman Maya Thomas drove in the game-winning run as fourth-seeded Houston outlasted No. 5 Memphis, 5-4 (10) in extra innings Thursday afternoon at the Collins Family Softball Complex. The Cougars advanced to the American Softball Championship semifinals with the win and will face No. 1 USF Friday at 1 p.m. CT.

Thomas' sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning drove in freshman Presley Bell and ended a two-inning scoring drought for the Cougars.

Houston (27-28) had two players with multi-hit games in sophomore Kaylin Crumpton (2-for-3) and freshman Elisa LaBeouf (2-for-5).
