PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s first 2019 weekly outdoor track and field honors for the week ending March 17.
MALE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Amere Lattin * Sr. * Houston * Missouri City, Texas
Lattin made his outdoor debut at the Houston Spring Break Invitational less than a week after earning All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships. He clocked the nation’s leading time of 49.82 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles, just two-hundredths of a second off a world leading time to win the event.
