Houston Earns 56-21 Win Against USF

HOUSTON - Quarterback Clayton Tune had a hand in five touchdowns as Houston snapped a two-game slide with a 56-21 win against USF Saturday afternoon at TDECU Stadium.

The Cougars scored touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams as they evened their overall record at 3-3 and improved to 3-2 in American Athletic Conference play. USF fell to 1-7 overall and 0-6 in The American.

Tune threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns and was the game's leading rusher with 120 yards and two TDs on the ground.

Marcus Jones scored a touchdown on a 72-yard punt return, while Derek Parish reached the end zone on an 85-yard fumble return.
